Elvis Presley Zippo: complete history 1978-2008
This paper is published in Russian for the first time. This original study my English friend and collector, Gary Gilmore (Gary Gilmore), which was started them a few years ago and was completed in 2009 specifically for ZippoCollector.ru.

This directory is divided into several parts. First, go lighter, issued only for the U.S. market. Separately be told about Zippo, released in Germany, Japan, France and Spain. Also, I will show pictures that were used in the design of cigarette lighters, in different years on Elvis.

Each lighter is accompanied by my personal rating of rarity: 1 star for the regular production model to 5 stars for the most rare specimens.
Zippo Elvis Presley, released for the U.S. market
First time an image of Elvis Presley appeared on the Zippo lighter in 1978. However, the first official release was carried out only in 1987. All that was before - an extremely rare prototypes.

Zippo Elvis Presley for the Japanese market, 2004-2005
In Japan, 12% of people are fans of Elvis Presley (according to official statistics). This is more than 15 million people. One of the most famous of them - Junichiro Koizumi, former Prime Minister of Japan.

Elvis Presley was the first music artist to have a license with Zippo. As from today their is over 60 Elvis Zippos (worldwide) that i know of, released by Zippo. It took me over two months to track down all the releases here. The early German and japanese releases was the hardest to find information on. I did get some great help from fellow Elvis fans and Zippo collectors worldwide. The Elvis Zippo which was released from spain in 2005, was also one which i got from a friend, and i knew nothing about it before hand. I also know of six other Elvis lighters, which i could not get proof of, as to if they was made by Zippo. So these wasn't put in.
I do know of other releases since writing this, from French promos to American test samples. Elvis Zippos are one of the best sellers for the Zippo Company, and will continue too be so.
I enjoyed doing it, as im a big Elvis fan also. I hope to update it soon. With many more Elvis released Zippos to show you. My thanks to Vlad, and all you Elvis fans out their.
