| Why now do not get this fuse? Looking at the quality, the current brand Zippo Wicks just slag. Even if a year or two it does not cut all the same stuff. Read somewhere that asbestos wicks work of the decade. |

| Buy asbestos wick does not make sense for one reason: asbestos for many years considered to be a carcinogen that causes lung cancer. |

As for me, it's useless wicks, lighter burns very ploho.Esli still you really need, at flea markets to find asbestos cord is not a problem, believe me it is not how it would differ from the wick 60 years |

About the carcinogenic fumes do not know and will not say anything (you can only make the assumption that a pair of burnt-out - this is not Vitaminki in mandarin), but asbestos is not just banned. |

| it is believed that the ban because "it was necessary to" promote the ceramic and optical counterparts (in fact fibroglassovye wicks, such as a beattie jet) and chrysotile asbestos while imported into the U.S. (its not) of the USSR. well then, the Rotterdam Convention and went .. in general, bought recently without problems in households. store. put in the lighter - burning 10 seconds. then begins to decay - and all. apparently badly soaked with gasoline or have forgotten how to do ... |

Another option to get a normal, trushny wick - is to buy a lighter aluminum petrol ibee Park. A lot of them out there, there are Od $ 0.99 to $ 10-15 (well, plus shipping U.S. $ 8 in the Russian Federation). Almost all of these lighters - 60-70-ies, and there hfitili asbestos. |

there is such a thing as authenticity, no self-respecting collector (and I am just so) will not be put in reinforced wick zippo semiautomatic 1910s, '20s and. etc. I have to berkeley is native asbestos - it is about 50 and thorens'e in, for example, fibroglasovy - 3 years without cutting)) and everything works: with any fuel (from royal'a to the same zippo) and silicon (from alpha to pierre cardin) and what zippo not like - but probably the fact that with the original flints and wicks missing for a year and a half, razlahmachivaetsya as fucking hell broom and hide it again .. well .. normal wicks, to each his own is simple .. |

| palych, that's about autenntichnost and a collector's authenticity is undeniable. Just started a conversation with the search unprofitable health wick for a thoroughly modern lighters. |

| Banned it everywhere, and in the stocks, and the friction disc clutch, and a slate long been replaced by andulinom. And I'm not saying that the meeting with asbestos lead to instant death, smoking is harmful at all, even if the use matches))) |

| I recently bought a Zippo 1956 there was a wick "reminiscent of asbestos' (thinner, softer, and without wire inserts) that is not original ... tucked lighter until toplaiva padded, tried - lit. well so much flame 3-4cm. The next day, light the lights up and a big flame first, and then for 2-3 seconds is decreasing, it remains about 1cm in height and off, then do not ignite. You need to close the lighter for 5 seconds to turn, open and light. Original oil (pour it also in 211 irone stone) Go and buy the original fuse. Trouble was gone. |
