Well I would not call it a fake :) It's not written ZIPPO :) This is a very common Sterling eastern production (and in Japan are made, and in Peru, and Mexico), quite common lighters. All of them were fitted just under zippovsky insert. But themselves under Zippy never mowed :)

Here's the way sterling examples made under zippovsky insert produced in Peru.
