True. Moreover, reinforced with wire fuses only appeared probably in the 80s or even 90s. Before that wicks were "in his own way." In Zippo often used special asbestos (non-combustible). They are easily identified by the white color of asbestos impregnation and they are slightly dirty hands. It was also a lot of varieties of conventional cotton wicks.

Vladimir, and now really find asbestos wick? As far as I know, asbestos is quite toxic. But the fact that it is non-combustible certainly a big plus in favor of this rope. ))
