Welcome, gentlemen! Here's a question I have. where - then read the story of Zippo and it was written that during the war it was used as a source of light and heat. So the question is: how long can burn fire without any dire consequences?

My personal opinion as a source of light and heat, and may have used, but for a short period of time (in minutes). Then I do not think that the lighters were more resistant to heat and thus are "overload" has no effect on their subsequent work. How not cool but lighter unless you can warm their hands, it shall not be a huge amount of heat to warm up for example in whole or make soup =)
