Dear guru! Please clarify for the ignorant of what material made Zippo inserts. Also, please clarify, maybe, know that they are all made of steel, as are made and what made inserts lighter type replica 1941b, etc. and etc. made of brass and other precious and noble metals. Mk ask a lot of questions from customers like, "why does not the lighter aluminum insert aluminum or titanium ... 13th ... not titanium or brass Brass 1941B not")) As far as I know for brass lighters used conventional steel inserts, just paint them yellowish color which is quite fast oblazit because of what and there are "suspected"))

All inserts for Zippo made of steel, and even cigarette lighters of precious metals (silver, gold). as well and titanium, brass and copper, the inserts themselves are superfluous sputter coated in the color of brass, copper, gold, or well! so that the suspect potdelke is not necessary, it's OK! well, why so, most likely because of the convenience of processing steel and its fortress to wear!

About how ..! Seriously ..?

And I'm ashamed to say, I think that if in the model name stands "pure copper" or "pure brass", it is made entirely of this material ... And for the type of yellow inserts look so natural brass ...; (

They look natural while new, after a while when using a lighter coating begins to wear and can be clearly seen that the steel insert. And copper and brass, and gold and silver metals themselves posebe soft, and use them directly in the production of inserts
probably not rational!

Hello, here I have a question. I have a replica of the 41th, almost new, used for about a week, is on the shelf. So decided to insert a new insert in the 41st, and from it to the one that I use all the time, so they do not come! It's the same for 41-s make special inserts makes it possible for another form of housing? Although the eyes themselves, and can not be distinguished.
